You may remember that Jack is no longer allowed to bother Take Two Interactive, but that he decided bothering others who might have even the smallest string of a relationship with Take Two was the way to go. Well, now he’s decided that he’d still like to be a douchebag to Take Two directly, only he isn’t allowed to. So he does the next best thing by getting Florida AG Bill McCollum to do it in his stead. At issue is Rockstar Games’ upcoming Manhunt 2, particularly the Wii version of the game. Jack would like the Attorney General and/or the governor of Florida, Charlie Crist, to declare Manhunt 2 a public nuisance. Takes one to know one, I guess.

In yet another examples of his lack of law-talking skills, a complaint Jack filed with the FCC against Beasley Broadcast Group alleging harassment and abuse, among other things, has been decided in favor of Beasley. The reason? Jack’s failure to present evidence to support his claims. Jack and failure. Two things that go together like chips and salsa.

So Gabe and Tycho were working behind the scenes to get Jack Thompson to debate someone from the games industry at PAX 2007. They wanted to keep news of the debate out of the public because of the number of people it could potentially attract to the already-growing convention. But of course, Jack is a world-renowned media whore and wanted to shout from the mountain top that he was debating some evil, child brainwashing, murder supporter. So the PA guys said fuck it and then Jack cried about it.
